project info

Project identity created for Steno Diabetescenter. The project revolves around tailoring treatment of diabetes type 1 to each patient, because there is no one-size-fits-all solution to living with the ilness. Building on the existing identity for Steno, we put together an identity that is directly inspired by a corner stone in living with diabetes; the modern system consisting of a pump and a sensor, and the basal and bolus rates of insulin it provides. These rates differ from person to person, and are vital in minimising the role diabetes plays in their lives. It is something that is discussed at least once per year, and it is regulated according to the lifestyle of each diabetes patient.

The project was exciting to be part of, since I have intimate knowledge of what diabetes type 1 is. I don't live with it myself, but someone very close to me does, and this made it very natural for me to dive into the project head first – and it gave me an edge when coming up with ideas for the visuakl communication that was to be produced.
